I wish I had more time to hang out with ya'll just once a year.


For those that don't know, its the 2012 Great Smokey Mtn show in Pigeon Forge, TN. I can't remember the dates, its in the middle of June. I can scan the flyer in a little bit...

It's the 21st - 23rd, same location as 2011

Wish I could be there, but plans are still on for my 53 and teardrop camper heading to Alaska this year :-X06

Dude, Jeff.... I would totally take a trip to Alaska over a truck show... I'm jealous!! Be safe and take lots of pics. :)

I be there. I also wish we could get together more often,as you are a great group.Jeff take a lap top and keep a blog so we can get daily updates on your trip.

Yall have fun, we'll miss ya. We aint goin to make it this year. Too much goin on.:( My wife's best friend is gettin married down there about a month before the show so we can only afford to go once. Looks like thats the only trip for us this year. Post plenty of pics for us. :-jammin

Thanks to all of those who posted pictures! Please blog your trip to Alaska so that I can live vicariously through you this summer. I'm trying to talk the wife into the same trip using my 2010 Equinox, but she's not going for it yet.:'(

Me too, will never look at camping the same way again :-X06 As for the restoring one, well it is sort of like restoring one of these old trucks.... it's all what you start with. Most of the older ones are in such poor shape that all you really start with is a pattern. I built mine from scratch in 08. I know, and I'm sorry but since mom died in Dec, we're just too backed up in the shop for me to be off that much. My wife's best friend is getting married in July and I just can't be away from work and dad that long. Just too much goin on. I'll sure miss all you guys. Some of you more than others. I'm glad ya'll figured out where that was from... so I didn't look like I had TOTALLY lost my mind. :D And I've seen the new commercial, no way are you getting me on any zip line.

Don't worry Melissa, nothing can top the image that is burned into our minds,love it.

I'm going to post up here just to stay in touch. I made the show several years ago and miss it. I've made the Supernationals, but as summers go, its too close to vacation time to plan another weekend up that way. I'm supposed to be spending a week in the National Park the 2nd week in July, so I'll have that decision again.

Well, I guess as far as images being burned into your mind... that one isn't too bad. :D

Mike if you get to traffic light number 1 in Pigeon Forge look to your left and you will see the Show Hotel. So basically turn left at traffic light 1 in Pigeon Forge by Cracker Barrell Restuarant and you will see it.

I'm sittin' at home trying to look over some Pigeon Forge webcams to see trucks running the strip. So far only one. Wish I was there for the Supernationals, but the kids are graduating high school next week and need to stay home (for money and time) and get the house ready for a party next weekend.

Looks like the Smoky Mtn F100 Run is a weekend earlier than I remember. The one I made was the weekend before July 4th. I would love to make another, but the purple truck is still in the shape it was all those years ago, so it won't be making the trip. Is the new venue as good as the Smoky Shadows?
