Because broncos are the only SUV that looks and performs like the trucks that I love working on the 80-96 Fords. Also because dad owns one and cousin owns one (cousins has a big block 460 in an 83).

The 302 got MAF before the 351, around 1994 I believe (someone correct me if i'm wrong). CA trucks got this stuff before the rest of the country, so you might find it on one of those even earlier.

Here's some MORE reasons to pick a Bronco:
-Great turning radius! better than Nissan Xtera, Chevy Blazer, Hummers, and Dodge Ramcharger, to name a few comparable models. Also ANY full-size pickup I've ever seen or can think of. -Of those models Broncos are the easiest AND cheapest to work almost across the board in every way. (in my humble opinion) -All the rugged fun and usefulness of a pickup, and all the creature comfort fun and utility of a van! -Every Bronco ever produced was MADE IN THE USA! -What? you want MORE reasons?!? Go get one of your own and find out for yourself! Keep-em on the Road! :-X22 |
Yep, made in USA, that's something that I really like.

I just love old iron, and there is nothing cooler than a classic Ford Bronco!

Went to the dealership this AM (for my wife's car) and visited my Bronco.........still waiting got be worked on! Told them about the upper starter bolt being filled and re-drilled and tapped to high. The upper starter bolt won't go through the motor plate! I figured since it's there.....it's their baby!
I guess they're going to do a recall on it too. Cruise control plug or something that can cause a fire. (edit) Sorry......wrong thread!! |
cuz I needed some help.
It skidded the logs up 2 the neighbor's band saw mill, plowed sno, hauled (inside & trailers both 4WD in forward'n reverse AND on hwy) & generally made me more $ than ever put into it. Now that's how we say round here: "It don't owe me nutin" |
Two Broncos come to mind from the past.
BIG OLY and The Lil mule from Romancing The Stone. A third one come to mind. I remember when I was in high school, there was construction going on. One of the construction workers had a 80-83 Bronco, 33 inch tires on chrome wagon wheels. The Bronco was that copper color with a black top. I used to see it everyday and I knew I would have one some day. |
3 reasons i bought a bronco
1 i could not find a decent trail duster locally 2 i could not find a decent ramcharger locally 3 i could not find a decent K5 blazer locally the bronco was 4th (and last) on my list i wanted a 2 door longroof truck with a square body and V8 power my allegiance lies with mopar (and the wife has an 08 acadia that reminds me daily why im a mopar guy in the first place) but ill consider anything american |
2 reasons...
1) I'm a Ford nut, I have always loved Ford trucks and Broncos
2) Needed to buy something 4wd that would pull my camper up the steep gravel hill that is my driveway because my 78 F250 Super Cab would just spin in the gravel. |
NICE FRONT END ON HER

Made in America, classic, and overall a badass offroad vehicle.

I also owned a Land rover Defender 110(but that is for another forum.) :) and that is why some day I will own a BRONCO!! :-jammin |
