I can't believe that people really are sinking money into keeping rust :-X15. I want Shiny Paint:-X06.

Y'all behave. Time to get outside and accomplish something.

John T super cab 02-16-2017 08:23 AM

Morning , Rich i would go with the ford ,adj door and motor swap ,maybe take a look at the brakes . It's already at RC's. I got a 60 cup coffee pot ill donate .

whiskey runner 02-16-2017 08:34 AM

yea rich.. you could take one of those ugly ole dent bodies off one of yours then put that 39 cab on it.. ha ha ha ha ... since the red one already has a flatbed pull that cab off of it.. would look good..:)

77&79F250 02-16-2017 08:43 AM

I have way to many projects...I was looking for RC, since he does not have that many. lol

Yes RC they are selling parts and they have a 39ish Ford cab and bed and all the new replacement floor pans/kick panels, lower cowl dash stuff setting in it.

Frame still has the bed, nut NO rear fenders on the bed.

whiskey runner 02-16-2017 08:45 AM

rich is that at rs?...

77&79F250 02-16-2017 09:26 AM

Well of course, the cab and bed/frame on on the RIGHT of the main road, by the walk in entrance of the big truck/tractor side, that is the east side.

I did get the new stereo in this morning. And yes Dan, this one is a new for 2017 Kenwood DDX 794. I really like the new dash kit, this thing looks factory, right down to the knobs, color and texture. And with the idatalink it does way more than just a car stereo.
I have a dvd in, so that's what's on the screen. It's actually pretty cool. It's called Animusic (youtube it).

Unk Bob , your dash vent is bigger than Alan's paint booth .I wish my truck had a trans knob .

BORDERBUM 02-16-2017 09:27 PM

Nice stereo Unk Bob!

Good and bad day. Got the parts diff on the trailer but the shift cable broke in the Jeep. Hope I fixed it for now...

I haven't used that 4x4 switch except for on the test drive to see if it works.

You NEW Jeep, dang.

earthquake68 02-16-2017 10:23 PM

Evening All!

Long hours in the shop trying to get Earthquake's cage done and gone by the time an Acura shows up for paint. I have about half the cage done now. I hope tomorrow goes smoothly.

Bob. The radio looks great! ...very fancy.

RC. The mount looks good.

Rich. The cage I'm putting in is MTRA specific. The bars have to be in certain places. It's different from a drag race or dirt track cage. ...it's all about the rules. :D

There's going to be 160' of 2" tubing going in Earthquake. About 80' are in it right now. Hopefully, all the complicated pieces are in. It took me three tries to get the freakin' halo right. I'm still learning the bender. There's lots of math involved to get the bend where you want it. Especially if there's several bends in one piece. You have to keep track of where the bends start and how much tubing the bends take up, etc. It can be a real pain. ....but the bender works beautifully. It makes some nice bends in heavy wall 2" tubing without kinking it, so I'm happy.

earthquake68 02-16-2017 10:24 PM

Oh, does anyone have a bump instrument cluster with gauges (not idiot lights) they want to get rid of? I had somebody call the shop today looking for one.

Cool deal on the bender, once you get it figured out maybe you can give it a go at the OEM push bar? Ya know this one. I have a long list of folks wanting them. Maybe a $ opportunity for ya.

ubereal2 02-17-2017 06:11 AM

Good morning Missouri:)
Hope everybody is doing well. Not sure what's in store for today, but the weather is on our side for the next week, so I can get more gone through in the shed.
We've been saving for our move, and happy to say that we have most of what it's going to take to pay for the move, and deposit and such for a house to rent.
And probably won't ship Ka'Bluey home until May or June.
Now the hurry up and wait part. But we're getting there.

Unk Bob:-wink

BORDERBUM 02-17-2017 02:26 PM
