Why did you put "blast from the past" in quotes? I was focused on music from that movie, but none of them really jumped out at me. I thought that was our hint.

"Blast from the past" is an old radio DJ phrase, sometimes uttered just before playing an "oldie". Hence, the quotation marks.

Didn't know there was another usage for it.

Ya, there is a movie with Brendan Frasier named that. Kind of a cute movie. Lots of music in it, and a soundtrack is available. But there isn't a single song that stands out.
