yes it is embossed and i painted it i took the springs to peaces two leaves were snapped in two and some of the others werebits out of other trucks and maybe a tractor every thing was renewed clips bolts etc

thank you for the feed back gentlemen it helps to keep me motivated but i do love working on it just wish the powder coater would hurry up

Awesome good job Stuart. I should be doing the same thing to my rear spring packs. What did you use to remove the U-bolt nuts? I have 3/4" and 1" impact guns but don't have room to use them.

yes i found it hard i used a tube socket and a brakerbar with a bit of pipe to get some tourke it took some time used half a can of wd40 to keep the temp down so good luck with yours

going to do it up its a 24 stud these are the numbers on the heads and what i can find on the bell housing i have no ides what the mean can any one please help me

"6050 is the generic number for a cylinder head. 81 indicates that it was designed in 1938. Specifically that cylinder head was used on 38-42 trucks, although it could have later been put on a flathead of other years." - Mike, not me.
Those powder coated parts look terrific.

do you know if i can change the diver style dizzy to a newer type the one i have is shot, completely corroded

Speedway sells this one. I think there are others as well. There are also remans available, but personally, since I hate helmets I'd go electronic.

thank you so much i do believe ill get one like that ill see if i can get it here first as 550 is a lot that's with exchange rate and postage but if i cant ill be using speedways one

And the sweet thing about these is that there's no more messing with points and condensers. Like I said, there are others that may even be cheaper. I picked that one because it was convenient.
