Lmao, guys, y'all crack me up! So I guess I'll be taking a road trip to California some time this summer...........

Or have John ship it out to you. Johns shipping charges are incredibly reasonable.

Gave my arms a work out!

Time to shine 'er up! Tried out the Klasse System of polish / sealant I got from Autogeek.net (nice guys). What an amazing combo. Washed with Dawn to remove all the grease, grime, and old wax. Then took a wet clay-bar to get rid of other crap that had built-up on the paint. Used a single coat of all-in-one and the sealant. Even used the all-in-one on the glass! Supposed to be good for 6 months. We'll see...

Arkansas is closer. You could also take a trip to Houston and let David Lott build you one. John Faubion used to build them in Oklahoma, but I think he stopped building tranny's for other folks. Bill at RacerX is another good option.

Worst case, Ford offers an HD tranny that seems to hold up pretty well.

Just got back from the Holland state park for the first camping trip of the season:

Gheez, options, options! It's almost as far from here to Houston as it is to Cali, Oklahoma "can" be closer, depending on where. Probably best to get it from the source. IDK. Maybe I can still use that shop and just have them use the tranny "I" want? And have it shipped like Stewart suggested.

Brian at BTS is just outside Branson in Arkansas. You could take you a little vacation and then swing by his place. He can build it in about 4 hours. You don't pay installation if you take your truck to him. Plus, you get to watch right beside him as he builds your transmission. It was a great learning experience. He will put it all back together and then even re-adjust the shift points if you don't like it on the test run.

(He's only about 10 hours from Houston.)

Unless you live in El Paso, Houston is closer. So is Arkansas for BTS (and not much farther than Houston from the panhandle, maybe even closer depending on your location).

Go to your favorite online map source and get directions from where you are to Houston, TX. Lead Hill, AR, and Holtville, CA. I don't think John Woods in CA is just as close, but either John or Brian might have a certified installer closer by for you to check with.

Don't lie to us! We know you meant to!

Holtville is 14 hrs 42 mins., Houston is SUPPOSEDLY 9 hrs, I don't believe it, I've made that drive before! lol, and Lead Hill is 11 hrs. So all the drives are long, which one is the best place to go? I could go to Houston and leave my truck there for a week while we go on a Disney cruise out of Galveston LOL. Choices, choices!

Went on a trip yesterday and picked up a car with it. Only got 17.3MPG pulling the car trailer. Stupid diesels. :D
