Dr. called earlier today...wants me to take 2 more weeks of antibiotics...

I'm feeling better...but not what he thinks I should be feeling...

I'll see him on the 29th unless something changes...

Thanks for asking Neil!

Mark M is a class act but he did slip up, I dont like Lagano but the bump & run is OK on the last lap...

The bump and run is a classic winning move and was executed perfectly...

Jr should of taken tires and he would have easily made more progress...I mean they said the left side tires had many miles on them...I'm baffled why they didn't take tires...

Jigger2020 06-11-2012 05:25 PM

Next week is Michigan, I think Dale can win there.....I've been to MIS lotsa times because its the closest track to me...........its such a good driver track that its not a good spectator track...........

Supposedly putting a new set of tires on the car would actually make it "numb" according to some of the driver's due to Pocono's new surface. I can understand why Jr & Gordon didn't go with tires & went fuel only.

I'm looking forward to seeing the race this weekend. I'd put my money on Jr or Martin.

Morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!

Well another day for me out in SoCal...yesterday was a busy and productive day!

Today should be a catch up day (hopefully) before tomorrow is another busy day!

I'll fly home Thursday which I'm looking forward to...these back to back weeks out here kill me!

Looks like there is some beautiful weather back in Fort Wayne FINALLY...I hear the heat has broken...so that's good!

Hope everyone enjoys their day!

I'll check in later.

Joe.

Good Wednesday morning everyone, hava great sunny day.......:)

X_Hemi_Guy 06-13-2012 07:55 AM

Morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!

Sorry for the lack of attention in here folks...

I've got one more full day out here in SoCal and I fly home at 5:45am local time out of LAX...these back to back weeks KILL ME...I've been dragging butt...

The trip on top of the meds really seem to be slowing me down...but it's all good...I'll get through it.

Hope everyone has been having a great week...we're half way to Saturday!

My plans for the weekend are to check the rear brakes on the Excursion...I've got 54K on her and we'll be using her hard in a few weeks pulling through the Rockies again...so I'll pull the wheels and see what I see...maybe time for a quick swap out of the pads...

Have a great day everyone...I've got 5 minutes til my first teleconference of the day.

I'll check in later...PROMISE!

Joe.

Jigger2020 06-13-2012 08:12 AM

Ya service the rear brakes, good idea \joe

X_Hemi_Guy 06-13-2012 08:18 AM

I've been trying to find the time...

No grinding or any evidence of anything going on...just maintenance...

I'll also rotate the tires while I'm at it and inspect the front brakes too!

KingBigJoe 06-13-2012 08:21 AM

Preventative maintainance is always a good thing, Joe. I learned that in trucking school a few years ago.

cowboywanabe 06-13-2012 08:34 AM

Good morning Indiana, happy Wednesday.

Jigger2020 06-13-2012 08:49 AM

Maintenance is the key to long life for sure, oh and lotsa money, hehe

X_Hemi_Guy 06-13-2012 09:05 AM

I'm hopeful that when I pull the wheels I just have to swap the pads...I can darn near do those in my sleep...although these SD calipers have those slide pins that need cleaned and lubed too...just one small step so I'll need some high temp lube/grease when I'm at Auto Zone...

X_Hemi_Guy 06-13-2012 09:05 AM

I'm also hopeful that the parking brake stays put and I don't have to mess with that either!

67nukeford 06-13-2012 09:34 AM

Good morning Indiana, happy Hump Day! Joe, just did my back brakes on Black here a while back. Going to do the front ones soon.

Jigger2020 06-13-2012 09:37 AM

I need to get an alignment done.........

X_Hemi_Guy 06-13-2012 01:55 PM

I had my alignment done a few years ago...I had concentric shims put in to allow from more positive caster (the Ex's don't come with adjustable caster)...helps with straighter tracking as i towed...a good mod...inexpensive too...

X_Hemi_Guy 06-13-2012 01:57 PM

Any heads up to look for Pat on the rears?...well other than the 160ft-lb torque spec on those freaking caliper mounting bolts!
