I just sold my old axles as a pair, so time to get that old D60 out of the truck and prepair the D80 to go under. I will be changing the rear springs to 3" wide later down the road....

Hmmmmm.... not to me. I try to end all work well before dusk and I usually wait till around 10am to start. I am in violation of city code.... can't have a vehicle dissmantled for more than 10 days!

Sweet project, my friends got a 71 cc sb lifted up, but its just got a littel 300 6 in it, hes been wanting to do a diesel swap for a while, maybe this will be the thing that finally convices him to do it!

After seeing those springs id be investing in a kidney belt...j/k.....Seems like some cities prefer there residents not to have a hobby.

We will have to see how the springs ride.... I always intended on having some nice springs made for this one by National Spring. I also thought about four linking the front and rear.... but that will have to be a down the road project!

Well it has been a bit slow going.... the whole late model hub and rotor combination didn't need to be so difficult. To make a long story short.... I had a late model big stud hub on one side and an early small hole hub on the other and didn't realize it. Oh well.

Finished installing inner seals and carrier bearings.... reset the lash and now I'll get after that cone shaped pin on the knuckles, got to find me a big ass cheater pipe!

On another note..... Those 16.5" slot mags might be up for sale :-X16 Since going to 9/16" wheel studs these wheels will have to be drilled to fit! I'm looking for a company that can do this down here in CA.... Sacramento to San Francisco area. Anyone have anything like this done before?

Solution....

I found some Gorilla Duplex Mag Shank nuts in 9/16"-18 that are only .010 larger shank dia. So I will just have to ream the holes out a bit!
