I think not...

True. Also, there is no need for arrogance, contriteness, condescention, disrespect. That goes a long way to preventing vindictiveness. http://campaigns.ford-trucks.net/for...cons/icon7.gif jim d

But, sir, you brought yourself into the fray with your comment. You are the only one who can "leave me out of this stupid ******!!!! http://campaigns.ford-trucks.net/for...ons/icon12.gif jim d

Actually Jim my point was I have been in this same stupid f-ing argument over the exact same info, check with wendell, certain people on this board, no matter how much proof you provide will argue that it can't be done, hence my original comment, and that a contest I want no part of -

Would someone please explain to me how this last few entrys to this thread add to my knowlage of ford ranger trucks? It seems that this fourm is becomming more and more of a "chit chat" room and less and less of a knowlege base for information about rangers owners.

Dave - long before your original question, the question was asked several times before. Some posters on this board, some of the guys who replied to your question, for whatever reasons, do not beleive in engine mods. They argue against them, they make false claims against performance bolt on mods, or after reading this thread against tried and true internal engine modifications, they argue minor grammer sematics with some of the guys who tried to answer your question, they seem to do it just to get a rise out of people. Sorry it ruined your thread but that's the direction every thread on performance mods has gone as soon as the typical crew of nay sayers get involved -

MY thread?? Perhaps people should read before they answer.

Dude lighten up, I thought you were the original poster, sorry bout that, again the explanation I gave in the previous post still explains it if you disregard that I thought you were the original poster -

It's not that some readers don't believe in engine mods, it's the value/significance in some of them. Heck, it's even ok to disagree on some things but it's how ones thoughts are presented (tone of their post) that can make their points of more/less interest when reading the it. Added emotional outbursts add little credence to posts when one is explaining their position on something and to some extent really distract from what could have been interesting reading. And that's a crying shame.

Waves 06-20-2006 04:14 PM

^ Can't argue with anything you said there, and it's a two way street as far as the tone of posts coming from both sides. I especially agree with what you say about it being ok to disagree, it's just the way we (me included) go about those topics we don't agree on that seem to "hijack the thread" and take it down the spiral -

I think its fair to say that this topic is closed...
