Me too Joe, I've been married 26 yrs, we have to give back once in awhile huh

X_Hemi_Guy 06-09-2012 07:05 AM

Nice plan Gerry on the SD shopping...LOL...

With us thinking about selling the travel trailer after our travels this summer...I'll be thinking of selling my Ex soon after...the only reason I have the beast is to pull a 9000# trailer safely...not sure yet what we'll get...perhaps one of those smaller SUV's out there that actually gets decent mpgs...I still need something with 4x4 for deer hunting and driving through fields to recover the animals...so we'll see...

wildstang 06-09-2012 07:07 AM

Very true but as they say the other option is not a good one. Sucks not being able to bull and jam like 10 years ago. But still moving so I'll take it. LOL

X_Hemi_Guy 06-09-2012 07:17 AM

Still moving is GREAT...I agree 100%

I've been too close to the other option after my motorcycle wreck and spending 3+ months in a level 1 trauma center...I'll take SLOW but breathing and moving anyday!!!

SAY NO TO SHOPPING...!!!...LOL

I've been married nearly 25 years...sometimes resistance is just futile...ENJOY it regardless...!

I've got a work call in 1 hour today...lots going on...

I assume you will be watching the Pocono races?...I've been to 2 races there...a very neat place to watch a race where you can see darn near the whole 2.5 mile tri-oval due the banking...I was amazed!

I plan on watching the rerun of the Pocono race because it is my oldest nephew's 5th birthday on sunday. I have yet to attend a NASCAR race. :(

X_Hemi_Guy 06-09-2012 07:30 AM

Enjoy the BD party Joe...

I've been to Pocono and Michigan for NASCAR.

Watched an IRL race at Michigan...that was the most exciting race there actually...amazing speeds on that banked 2 mile oval.

I've also been to the Indy 500 3 times (at least...hey it was college years)...I've seen Rick Mears win twice (84 and 88) and Big Al Unser win once...Big Al won in '87 after I watched Mario DOMINATE the first 180 laps...what a hard place for the Andretti's!!!

That's a good days shopping there Gerry.
My day involved my daughter saying "Mom want's to know if you have any money for her"

Travel safe and well Joe.

I awakened to rain again this morning.
I have no idea of when I'll get the lawn mowed.
I will definitely need to raise the deck of the mower.

BIGKEN 06-10-2012 06:41 AM

Today is monday. I should hear back from the insurance company sometime today about my "totaled" car that I mentioned about the friday before last. I'll post pictures of the car here when it gets towed off.

BIGKEN 06-11-2012 06:46 AM

Happy Monday Indiana...welcome to the workweek!!!

X_Hemi_Guy 06-11-2012 07:30 AM

Good morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!

Well I made it to SoCal yesterday...still not feeling 100% and moving kind of slow...just tired more than anything...I'll call the doctor here in a bit to see what he thinks may be going on...

I was able to watch the end of the Pocono race yesterday by the time I got to the hotel...it finished much earlier than I had anticipated but then again they shortened it by 100 miles too!

I do think Joey Logano will eventually become a regular threat...he's still learning...this may give him the confidence he needs!

I'll check in with everyone later!

Joe.

Jigger2020 06-11-2012 07:50 AM

Good morning everyone, no storms up here, just great weather.....:)

Jigger2020 06-11-2012 07:58 AM

Howdy Joe & Wag & all

I didn't like the fact that they shorted the race by 100 miles. That & Mark Martin should have won....

cowboywanabe 06-11-2012 09:57 AM

Good morning Indiana. Hope y'all have a good Monday.

tiny1 06-11-2012 10:00 AM

Morning gang and I hope that you feel better Joe :)

Mark made a small mistake that Logano took advantage of...it was a bold move on the kids part for sure that paid off...Martin is a master and I was surprised he bobbled like that...

They shortened it to try and make it more interesting for viewers (their media excuse)...seems that the 500 mile length the drivers would "lay back" in the mid section of the race...there was no laying back at 400 miles!

I was surprised that Earhardt and Gordon didn't take ANY tires on that last splash of gas stop when NO ONE else stopped...I mean you already took the hit from coming in...does the extra 5 seconds make a difference under caution to change tires when the two of you are the ONLY ones on pit road?...what am I missing strategy wise here?...

Jigger2020 06-11-2012 05:14 PM

Yes they shoulda got tires, Dale could have won the race.......

Mark M is a class act but he did slip up, I dont like Lagano but the bump & run is OK on the last lap...
