Thanks. I'll order one too.

Thank you for creating this thread, I thought that area looked off but didn't think too much of it. I called my local dealer and they have both "filler" trim pieces in stock so I will pick them up this afternoon :-X22

Make sure you order the correct number of fasteners. I ordered (Fairway Ford) 2ea W712559-S900 & W708991-S439 expecting to receive 2ea packs of four (8 pieces of each part). Instead, I received these; two packages, clearly marked as packs of 4; cut open and only 2 pieces in each package. If I order more I'll get hit with another $12 shipping charge.

I have not installed them yet, so not sure exactly what I need.

I’d read various reports of what was needed to install these. I emailed Fairway Ford and asked if the screw & clip part #’s were a 4-pk or single piece. They responded “single piece”. So seems they are doing like you say, opening the 4-pk bag and selling the parts individually.

I ordered all the parts for my install from FordParts.com.

see my post #19 in the thread below for pics & details of what is needed per the Ford parts diagram

I’ll just post it here too……

So I found when I went to order these that the parts diagram shows each liner using 2 push pins (come with liner) and 2 screws (and clips). The screws and clips come in a 4-pack. Below is what I ordered. Just installed them per the parts diagram.

The easy way to know if they are selling individualy, or a 4 pack, is price. MSRP for 4 screws is $6, 4 clips is $10. For example, if the screw is being sold for $1.50 or less it is individualy sold. Also, unless you are doing 2 trucks you don't need 8 of each, you only need 4 total of each.

Thanks for the help; I'm sure I'll find enough stuff in the shop to complete the install.

I keep going back and forth whether these will be better or worse for winter corrosion,

This thread is about the "liner" that goes inside the bumper, below the wheel well liner. IMO these would work to prevent mud/muck getting behind the front bumper and leading to rust down the road. I think these are a good item to add no matter which version of wheel well liner you have.

Installed the fender liner extensions last weekend after installing the front wheel well liners. I bought the clips and screws to use but ended up just using some of those plastic retainer pins that came with my trim removal tool. So far so good. If they decide not to hold I'll switch over to the clips and screws for those two holes. Cheap and easy install.

bringing this back up.
do these fit on the '23-up trucks?
thanks

I have the plastic wheel well liners and I like the idea of these in addition to what I have. Wish I would have seen them a few years ago, but I am going to order them now.

kylant 01-26-2024 07:17 AM

has nobody done this on a '23 truck? are the fenders/bumper any different in that area?

I don't think they will fit w/o making some mounting brackets. I have a 17 with the liners and a 24 without them. The 24 is missing mounting provisions. See the images below.

On the 17 you can see the two mounting points circled in red. Their are no provisions on my 24 for those mounting points.

Image from my 24. No mounting points on the backside of the bumper.
