Done a lot since my last post, so here goes.
  1. Installed auxiliary back-up lights IN the rear bumper, not underneath.
  2. Installed hitch ball and 7 and 4 plug trailer connector.
  3. Repainted wheels........again. Medium gray enamel (similar to Super Duty gray).
  4. Installed LT245/75R16 All-Terrain tires (Only $20 for the set BTW!!).
  5. Removed, dechromed, straightened, and painted front bumper to match.
  6. Repainted grille and polished oval.
  7. Installed 90 deg. bends to quiet exhaust a little (painted BBQ black).
  8. Cut out rust and put in new metal on pass. bedside.
  9. Scuffed and primed surface rust areas.
  10. Found other rust through areas to repair.
There will be more to come:
  1. Roll in bedliner.
  2. Rust repair on driver's bedside and front fenders.
  3. Offroad Lights.
  4. Muffler to deepen exhaust note (has straight pipe now).
  5. Industrial grade paint.
  6. Graphite gray door handles, antenna, and windshield trim.

Nice job on the back up lights.

Gotta love that 90's blue paint!! Thanks for the props on the lights. They add a ton of light when backing up. Eventually, I plan on installing 87-89 taiilights and tinting the back up lights in red. That will make it even better.

I got them from my local Harbor Freight store. They were on sale for $9, but they normally go for $15. I also have seen these at Wal-Mart and similar stores for under $20.

Here'e the link.....

All I did was cut holes in the factory rear step bumper using the glass lens as a template.

Then put L-brackets on the fog light housing to line up the nuts and bolts. Once the holes were cut and deburred, I carefully installed the assembly from the back side of the bumper and tightened with appropriate screws and lock nuts (#10 I believe).

Wiring was as easy as cutting and splicing extra wire from the factory backup light location to the new lights. Factory lights still operate as normal. I have a modification for the taillights that will elimate the factory back up lights and make a solid red taillight.

Once that mod is complete, I'll post it.

Okay, I installed some center caps I bought via Ebay (similar to Super duty caps) paid $20. Also finished my front bumper repaint, as well as painting handles, antenna, wiper arms, and vent window divider smoke gray. Will also paint mirrors and windshield trim as well.

Also plan on Ford Oval vinyl decals for the centers.

Removed the alum. tailgate end protecter and replaced with a Lund Spoiler this weekend. Also try to install new shocks but when i went to put them on realized that they send the wrong ones. Have to ship these back and hopefully will have to correct ones by next weekend.

New plugs, wires, cap and rotor, idler pulley, and possibly a new fan clutch, its shaking a bit...

I have an old, as old as the truck, aluminum tailgate cap. The clearcoating had hazed all over. I removed the cap and repainted it with some silver-aluminum color spray paint and repainted the cap. Looks almost as good as the clearcoated aluminum on the bedrails. $.99 for the can of paint at AutoZone. :-X0A6

Put the hubs back together and put on the new brake pads to finalize my rotor swap. There's a certain confidence that comes from knowing your brake rotors aren't going to explode along stress fractures into a dozen jagged pieces when you really really need your brakes....

I fabbed up some brackets to mount the fog lights that were hangin under the bumper inside the holes in the EB bumper.

It doesn't seem to affect their performance much if any.

I painted my front bumper and light bar with bed liner paint.

Yesterday....I had a newer brake line break at the fitting on the left rear wheel. It was an excuse to do some work I've been meaning to do.
New brakes from and including the rear flex line, L&R rear lines, new wheel cylinders, shoes and drums. A noticeable improvement.
Today...I will be replacing the front fuel tank.
