On the generator subject, which brands are the most reliable. (3000 to 6000 watt range)

The honda generators are very reliable George. I use to work on them when I worked at home depot. 99% of their running problems was solved by changing the spark plug.

from what I've heard hondas are supposed to be good.

I got a phone call a couple of days ago, Im going to be moveing to northern WI in july.

Geirge they might cost more but they are also a little quieter. If your lucky you might be able to catch the rental units for sale at home depot.
