Brian could you use both phones at together? I am not say both of you talking on it at the same time. Just if you had a call through SYNC and then ended it would he be able to make a call through the SYNC without having to unpair one to add the other?

Yes you can use both phones together.

Problems with sync

I have a 2009 f-150 Lariat and the same Motorola Tundra phone. As far as I can tell it is a phone issue. I have spoken with Motorola and Ford on this issue and it appears that the phone stops bonding with sync during start up at times. I have done the master resets on my phone and on the sync system and it works most of the time. Recently I have just started removing the battery from my phone and waiting 10 seconds before replacing it, then power up the phone and hit the sync button in your truck. The sync should ask you to connect to the phone at that time. This works for me about 98% of the time but it is very frustrating. My wifes Iphone will bond all of the time and I will be getting one when it is time to upgrade my phone.

Before you purchase the iPhone, check out the threads on OS 4.0 issues (Owner to Owner) at Syncmyride.com.

Before I purchased a new phone, I would consult the compatibility list (also at Syncmyride.com).

Thanks for the Help, I will do that.

This is the same thing I have to do. Tried to use it today but I had left the phone turned on in the truck. When I attempted to make a call Sync said no phone was available. I pulled over, turned off the truck, turned off the phone and pulled the battery. Turned the phone back on then turned the truck on and was able to make a call. Its a joke. When my contract is up with AT&T I am also getting a new iphone. But that isn't until January.

This would be the first I've heard the iPhone not working. Anyone I've talked to says they work fine.

iPhone functionality may be OS dependent. As I said, there are known issues with OS4.

FWIW, my HTC Touch Pro2 works great. It will automatically reconnect to Sync everytime.

It does sound like Ford is working with Apple on compatibility, so if I'm lucky they may have the bugs worked out by the time my contract is up in January. From what I'm reading the new 4G iPhone has it's own issues regardless of Ford Sync.
