go to clifford research web sight and you will find the kit you are looking for

And you will get the lovely bonus of being bent over and breech loaded by the fine folks at Clifford. I wouldn't buy anything from them unless it absolutely was not available elsewhere. Fortunately, most of their parts are just reboxed from another manufacturer and very few are Clifford only items.

My engine (see signature) shows on the DD at flywheel, depending on what specs are entered, 204 hp at 4500 rpm, 299# tq at 3000 rpm. Projection with a 600 cfm carb is about 224 hp with not much change in tq. That is with a 1000/5000 rpm cam with no loss in idle stability. Comp ratio is 8.6 and running on 87 el cheapo winter formula gas with no spark knock. FWIW, 99.9% of driving with a street vehicle especially a truck is going to be (depending on gearing) at less than 3000 rpm even at fwy speeds. Excess cfm in the carb is not used anyway due to flow restriction in even a ported/polished head since most of the running is on the primaries unless a radical cam is used and other major modifications are applied. Bigger is not always better depending on the intended use of the vehicle.

And yes...what Silver Streak just said.

Hijack :D How did you model your engine in DD? I ask because I have found that it models all engines of equal manufacture and displacement pretty much the same. I have done 300ci versions of the 3.8 V6, 302, 351, 352, etc. and they all come back the same. I haven't done any real calculations, but I think if you knock about 20% off the peak power rpm and recalculate your torque numbers you will be a lot closer to the actual numbers you have.

A poster at the FSP site will run the numbers on his DD. Go there and check out the "FIGURES" thread. Really just a matter of idle curiosity to me as I am pleased with the performance of my ride although sometime in the future I may be tinkering with a 600 cfm Holley and possibly a Qjet from a '77 Pontiac. On the other hand, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". At this time I am not curious enough to spend the $$ and roll it on a dyno to see what it is doing at the rear wheels.

Additional specs to those in my signature are:

Head & Block milled .010 for clean up
Bored .030 over = 304 cid (?)
Federal Mogul dished Hyper pistons with coated skirts (stock replacement 8.3 listed cr)
Pistons, Rods etc. balanced.
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...4&autoview=sku Cam Specs there.
K & N 11" Xtream Air Filter for bragging rights.
