A truck and trailer is more then my chateau. But you are right preppy, at least with the F350 you still get a good off road truck with a solid axel, not like the POS chev that I am driving for work that has independedt front end and can't even clear a frost heave.

preppypyro 06-06-2007 02:25 PM

Yeah At my work we have dodges, and although they do have a cummins, they arent worth a damn either.

bchunter 06-08-2007 10:49 AM

We have some dodges as well, all gassers, but they drive like piles. They wander so bad it is retarded.

preppypyro 06-08-2007 07:12 PM

I find that our work trucks are the same. I would definatly drive the kenworth instead of the dodge!

neighbours one work crummy was a dodge, front driveshaft let go and pretty much destroyed teh truck. motor mounts and pretty much all the suspension mounts gone, somhow managed to wreck the fenders as well. last Dodge he's gonna buy for a while

preppypyro 06-10-2007 09:30 PM

I dont blame him, but the new cummins sounds kinda neat :D

bchunter 06-11-2007 11:10 AM

I still prefer the old tractor 12v cummings.

preppypyro 06-11-2007 05:28 PM

They are cool too yep. Gotta love the factory exhaust brake though!

bchunter 06-12-2007 11:49 PM

That is a nice touch, but all that new exhaust recycling stuff really scares me, in all the new diesels. The dodge has 4 sensors around one of the exhaust components, the soot reactor or something like that.

preppypyro 06-13-2007 09:59 AM

Yeah the new technology of them is pretty advanced. Makes me wonder sometimes if all that extra stuff really does make a difference on emissions.

FirstTry 06-16-2007 12:33 AM

i was working on an 07 dodge at work the other day, guy said it was getting half the mileage of his 03, both one ton diesels

preppypyro 06-16-2007 02:09 PM

Did he mention any power difference?

FirstTry 06-16-2007 09:20 PM

no, but he seemed surprised when i said there was a noticeable power diffrence from a Ford 7.3 to a 6.0. i took this to mean that he thought all the newer motors had less power. I'll have to ask him if i see him again

Pud sounds to me that you live in a pretty good town.

Last year I bought a place up at Burns Lake for 84.5 k which is rented out which pays the mortgage. I retired last week and may move up there this year or wait until next spring. In the meantime I've ordered a new F-350 diesel standard cab 4x4 which I expect around August 1. Of course I have to wait until I sell my condo in New West to pay off everything, but I'm hoping I'll have a place out in nature and a trcuk that will last me the rest of my driving life.

preppypyro 06-20-2007 08:33 PM

Newer motors never have less power!
