I will say this much. My boss has an 03' Dodge with the cummins and the manual tranny. You honestly cant even feel the cattle trailer when we pull it. As far as the diesels go, I really like the cummins, but if you are buying a new truck, you should be happy with just about anything on the market.
Just my 2c. Garrett |
Yes, Gm has a torque managment feature, and even a defuel on the diesels that my little computer and efilive cable can get rid of. Getting rid of torque management makes a gasser a little different ride. :)
Ya, now that you say that, my dad had a 99 6.0 that would pull better than the V10's of that time. The older 6.0 had much less torque management than the newer 6.0's. The newer ones are much worse than the older ones.....so much so, that a power brake almost impossible on a new 6.0 on dry pavement. |
I think its the driver, You gotta know whats in the back, gears...etc of any kind. The V10 is a Supersuty motor therefore the 6.0L of the chev doesint qualify, mabe it could do 15,000 like that of a superduty level. But not in the 1500 chassis, but then its low in something.
