Well for today's 'guess that car' pic' I'm going to go easy on you guys and see if you can handle this one:

1971 Boss 351 Mach 1 Mustang.....

jredline1984 11-02-2012 08:56 AM

Today's gold star goes to Pat :-X22

67nukeford 11-02-2012 09:09 AM

I owned one, it was Silver....:D

jredline1984 11-02-2012 09:12 AM

Owned?! What happened to it?! I soooooo want one. Fastest production Mustang up until the 2003 SVT Cobra was released.

67nukeford 11-02-2012 09:15 AM

A good buddy of mine actually has it. It got passed around to a few friends of mine. I get first dibs if he decides to sell it again!

jredline1984 11-02-2012 09:26 AM

You and your friends passed it around eh? What a dirty little mustang LOL!

Do you have any pics? Does he let you come over and drool on it once in awhile?

67nukeford 11-02-2012 09:28 AM

I was over there in Sept., we pulled the tranny out, to replace the clutch. The car runs like a beast! I have some pics, but none of them are digital. I'll have to scan one and post it.

jredline1984 11-02-2012 09:34 AM

Please do! That would be kick ass to see! Any work done to the original Cleveland? How does the toploader shift? Damn transmissions seem like they are indestructible.

67nukeford 11-02-2012 09:36 AM

I had a bigger cam put in it, and I ported and polished the heads, and put a new manifold on it, and headers. The tranny shifts fine, that thing is a blast to drive, as along as you don't care to see anything out the back window!!

Jigger2020 11-02-2012 09:37 AM

Well what are you waiting for Pat...........not enough time in the day huh, I like the old Dinner Cor

jredline1984 11-02-2012 09:56 AM

A higher lift cam and headers really wake a Cleveland up. Did you keep the stock manifold? Those things can fetch a rather large sum on ebay. Only thing you should be checking for out the back window anyways are party (cop) lights lol.

That pic is from Classic Car and Driver Gerry. The ragazine got to take the car for a road trip, lucky sobs :-arrgh

My buddy Jimmy still has all the original parts that I took out. He also has the extra rear wing, and console, that I found in a junkyard back in the 80's.
