The OEM plates are designed to fit tight with the right contours. They are steel but hardly 1/8" thick. They will no doubt dent if you hit a rock hard enough.

2015 Aftermarket Engine Skid Plate
Has anyone found an aftermarket manufacturer that makes and engine skid plate for a 2015 F250?
|
I had a jeep rubicon with full skid plates. They were great for protection off road, but a pain removing them to service stuff.

I know removing the skid plate on my Tundra was a pain but that thing took a beating and I was rarely off road unless it was driving g through a field during hunting season. Makes me a little nervous not having one.

Ur tundra was also what four to five inches off the ground? A SD is almost two feet off the ground

My 2015 supercab 250 needs the skid plates. One more thing I should have demanded when I bought my truck one week ago. Live and learn I guess. Getting Reflex spray liner next week.
Great truck but Ford should have thought more about storage space under the rear seat etc. |
