The OEM plates are designed to fit tight with the right contours. They are steel but hardly 1/8" thick. They will no doubt dent if you hit a rock hard enough.

2015 Aftermarket Engine Skid Plate

Has anyone found an aftermarket manufacturer that makes and engine skid plate for a 2015 F250?

I had a jeep rubicon with full skid plates. They were great for protection off road, but a pain removing them to service stuff.

I know removing the skid plate on my Tundra was a pain but that thing took a beating and I was rarely off road unless it was driving g through a field during hunting season. Makes me a little nervous not having one.

Ur tundra was also what four to five inches off the ground? A SD is almost two feet off the ground

iPhone from IB AutoGroup

The Tundra actually has a higher ground clearance than the SD by 1-2".

My 2015 supercab 250 needs the skid plates. One more thing I should have demanded when I bought my truck one week ago. Live and learn I guess. Getting Reflex spray liner next week.

Great truck but Ford should have thought more about storage space under the rear seat etc.

Ditto. I'm also looking for an aftermarket transfer case skid plate as the stock one hangs stupidly low and looks like it's designed to snag things. Lol
