Switched out my gauge cluster for one with a factory tach from my donor truck. Also switched out my pedal hanger and pedals. Now I have a clutch pedal so at least I can pretend to shift until I swap in the ZF. Sorry, no pics.....

lol, I remember when I put that into my truck, I had a decoy pedal for about a month before I got the tranny put in. Did you get the cluster with the tach and the 4 stacked gauges, or just the tach and the one big (I think water temp) gauge?

getting it closer to being completely down to the block...

I wish my wife would let me build engines in her kitchen, it makes the beer and sandwiches much closer at hand!

Fuel Pressure Regulator and swapped in spare instrument cluster. Tomorrow, High Pressure Fuel Pump. Apparently my truck can't survive under 1K RPMS. I'll still be looking into that. Thought it was the cluster but both show the same on the tach. Either wiring or coil.
Day after tomorrow, HOPEFULLY 5 hour drive to NC for the week. First time I will have filled the dual tanks up. |

The kitchen sink makes a great part cleaning area, lots of work bench space on those counters, and you can use her best T-FAL pots to soak parts in de-greaser!
