Well we got off work early today because they (the Russian's) are having a holiday this Saturday, and they get Monday off too. So of course so do I..just more FTE time for me....

On August 30, the "City Day of Kazan" and the "Day of the Republic of Tatarstan", is celebrated. National Museum of Tatarstan invites you to a traditional celebratory event "Priceless pages of history", which begins with a costume parade "Familiar silhouettes ..." on the main and central streets of the city at 11.00.

I gather its a celebration of there history and way of life ect...I doubt there will be a hot rod show to ck out. :)

I'm off to work. I got a little shop time in last night. I started making the crossmember for the '49 Ford I sold. The guy brought it back so I could do some fab work for him.

I just picked up the paint and clear for the 65...1250.00 ouch. It will be in paint this coming week.

wow chip.. that sounds high. but i know the days of 25.00 gal. paint is long gone..:(

Evening All!

The very first gallon of paint I bought was PPG Ditzler black lacquer. I paid $20 for the gallon. :eek: That same gallon of black lacquer these days is almost $500 a gallon!

RC. I'll be at the shop from 0800-1100 tomorrow. Yes, I still have the trans. It's sitting on my garage floor at home. If you need it, ...or any piece of it, of course you are more than welcome to it.

Oh hey, the shops at midway (where my shop is) are sponsering a car show on September 20th. We're thinking 1000-1600. We may even be able to swing a band, but that's not a definite yet. I CAN tell you that "Earthquake III" the mega truck will be there. Also Alice the wonder truck will make an appearance. We're trying to get a couple local car clubs in on the action as well.

Just something to remind everyone that we'll have appointments open over the winter. ;)

We looked at the mix for Tuxedo Black in Chromabase vs Spies Hecker. Spies has more Toners and pearls so we went with it.
