I'm really enjoying all the pics and experiences of Truckstock 2012 though. Can't get enough of the pics. This is a wonderful thing on Doc's part.

Well I'm seriously considering opening up my place for next year. Not quite as big or nice as Doc's, but plenty of pork and veggies available and room to camp. Bonus is that it is only 363km from you, so start putting aside a little bit from your meager pension cheque because who knows how much petrol will be in a year. :-hair

Right On!,....that's something to look forward to.

I knew that I wouldn't be able to make Truckstock for several reasons. Number one is that my truck is not near ready for the road and number two, it would have to be in great shape to make a trip of that length. That being said, I have followed this thread with much interest. Doc, Looks like it could not have been more successful. My hat is off to you and your family as well the folks that showed up to make it happen. Thanks to everyone for posting pictures that allow us "armchair" Truckstockers share in the event even though we are miles away. Hopefully we will be able to make a future get together. Looking forward to seeing more pictures and hearing all the stories.

I have posted all of the pics that I had taken over the weekend and have them up on Google Picasa (link is below). I'm not a pro photographer so let's keep the heckling to a minimum:-X22

Keep truckin Bob. It was great to meet you and Michelle. You both are becoming legends with this trip.

I don't think it has been said yet, but Bob and Michelle are recipients of the
Long Distance Award. Way over the seven hundred miles originally estimated:D

Thanks - That first one burned an eye bulb out - Luckily my right eye had wondered off to look at something else or I would be stone cold blind

Gorgeous pics Wade! You did a MUCH better job than me. I also want to thank Wade (cruisetopdown) and all the other guys for this. He took great effort in making this diorama for me with his plasma cutter. It is awesome! Thanks again, Wade!!! It will be prominently displayed in my office for now on.

I think it needs to be re-iterated that Bob's truck is an F-2 with a bigger, stiffer frame. And the top speed isn't the same as an F-1 or F-100. He has guts, that's for sure! Bravo Bob!

As Doc posted, we ran into rain about an hour after leaving his house. About ten minutes later my wipers stopped working. Good thing I applied RainX before I left home. Drove for seven hours in the rain without much of a problem.

When Doc said it was raining in Kentucky, he meant all of it. This is what Bob was having to drive through, with no wipers:

Wade, you are too modest! The pics are excellent, so is the video! The Truckstock banner and plaque were very well done and helped convey our appreciation beyond words!

It would help if he had a damn GAS PEDAL!!! :-X04

We also need to give another shout out to Ross (Albuq F-1). The man drove over 1500 miles to get here from New Mexico, and he had full intentions of driving his F-1 until he found a signficant engine problem less than 48 hours before he was scheduled to leave. I know for a fact that he worked VERY HARD on his truck for several months just to make the trip. He even did a 9 inch rear differential swap. He was very disappointed, but he still had a very good time.

Maybe next year we will have the pleasure of seeing this one:

We are EXTREMELY lucky that didn't happen during the event. Still raining here today after raining all day and night yesterday.
