So, its really *****in cold out here. I actually plugged in my pickup, It turned over great, but the idle air control must have been frozen or something, as it wouldn't idle byitself for almost 5 mins, and took about 15 befor it smothed out. Its been runnin for a half hour now, and I'm just gettin ready to head to work......

You warm your truck up for half an hour? Jeeeez lol.

Although, I usually do that in the morning when I forget its running. :P

Hey, when I get up, and the air temp is -16, I let the thing run. I hate driving a cold vehicle, hell when I left the house the water temp was just about 120* with in 5 miles it was at 190*. And I have half the radiator covered with cardboard. Lol

It is a SNOW emergency!!! Lucky it is only 20 degrees. :-)
I have to go fill up the loader looks like a long couple days ahead...

I wish I could plug it in somewhere at my mall. Dam Cat takes 1/2 hour to warm up to 120.

ok, maybe i'm just dead wrong, but shouldnt you be running a lightweight oil in such cold conditions, not diesel oil? that cant be good :-kneeslap

yeah probably :-missingt

its still only 10-30...guess the 1 L of lucas oil addative i also add probably doesnt help much either eh? LOL

i was trying to find a 5-30 rotella T lol...but i wont run anything other than the shell rotella T so i guess the truck just has to suck it up...thats why i plug it in, if its plugged in overnight it isnt actually that bad, ticks a bit but not horribly, when i dont plug it in on the other hand it not only sounds like a diesel its aboout twice as loud LOL

when i rebuild the truck im gonna put an oil pan heater in it...that combined with the block heater will keep er nice n warm when its -50 out...:-X22

You're not looking hard enough. I can pick up synthetic Rotella T at Wally World even.

Well a new turd has joined the stable. I hate cheap rigs. Always buy them. 78 model. 351m/c6/203 Runs damn good. Started right up. Underside is in perfect shape. Quarters are good for a wv truck. $400

Looks like a good rig, all but the 203. They are only good for split the middle, n make a doubler...
