I have found to clean the leather and get the dirt out of the 'grains' I use Lexol leather cleaner, a hot damp rag and a very soft bristle brush. Horse hair, or similar. I go over the seats with the hot damp rag, then work the lexol in with my hand, then use the soft brush to get into the grains. I wipe this off with the hot towel and the dirt comes out.

Colorbond makes a leather/plastic/vinyl spray dye that matches the Fords OEM colors. The bottle is $13. I may try this on a hidden portion to see how it matches.

I've got an 07 with cloth seats and the drivers side is already showing pretty bad wear.

Berry, at 6'3" I can see where you would have a problem getting in/out. I am ~5' 11" and find that there is not much room to lift your weight up off the seat without banging your head on the door frame as you exit. You have to have a pretty flexible neck to duck. I am making a real effort to use the handle to keep from sliding across the edge of the seat. I also have a 93 EB bronco w/tan leather (covers absolutely trashed) and the major problem is the location of the welting on the side bolsters. Your tail drags across it and causes the stitching to pull/break etc. and then separation, which only gets worse. Absolutely amazing to me that Ford has continued to use this design on my 07 EB EL. At the price you had to pay (when you could still get them) I can see why they werent concerned about lasting service.

I would like to put something over the 07 seats, but dont like the bright colors of most aftermarket. Would like a nice tan/blue. The other option is to buy a set of covers at todays prices and store them until you get ready to sell/trade. I surf often to see whats available.

Yeah, I have just lived with it. I will re-dye the seat when it gets bad enough. $13 for a can.

The '07 Gen Expy's are slightly more cramped than the '04 Gen due to the air canopy.

My '04 has cloth seats and they are holding up quite nice for a truck that 6 1/2 years old and has 69K on the clock.

My '99 Taurus has leather seats and they've held up pretty good but I'll never get leather again. I would actually prefer a soft naugahyde / vinyl.
