It would corner harder, accelerate and stop quicker besides a better weight balance and look pretty with a fully polished 5.2 litre 425 hp 385 ft/lb torque RPI's fully aluminum Rover motor. Keep it all british mate.
Them things demanding many a quid these days.

Nice thought Carl, but nobody's ever made a V8 that's as compact as the 260/289/302 and that's about all that they could stuff into the Tiger's engine compartment. Some folks have managed to get a 351W in there, but's such a tight fit you have to drop the motor out to get the valve covers off...
