Just curious why you need gears? Do you have a tuner? Are you studded?
I can smoke my 35's without effort with my 3.73's...

It's completely stock right now other than cat back exhaust. The head gaskets were done on warranty around 60 000km. Really it's got tons of power so I wouldn't say I need them. Haha. With the amount of towing (30' camper) and off roading I will be doing I just thought it would make my transmission happier for longer. And if a guy is going to be installing lockers, the diffs will need to be set up anyways so replacing the gear set isn't a huge deal.

That sounds like quite a bit more power than I'm running. I'd have to work pretty hard to get a chirp on pavement. What setup are you running? Tuner? Exhaust? Studs? Deletes? What kind of mileage do you get. I'm not super happy with my mileage. Seems like the duramaxs are getting better mileage or maybe they're no good chebby owners just lie more. Lol. Thanks.

According to my overhead display I'm running 23 L/100km which is right around 10 MPG US. Maybe the display is out. I'll do the math next time.
