I thought it would go from the 6637 to the turbo but the opening on the turbo is alot smaller then 4 in thats why I was asking if the bootie on the turbo side would be a drop down size so it can hook up to the turbo. I would rather have it go from the filter to the turbo.

Ok, let me see what I can get done here. If it is something I can get done in the next couple weeks I will get it on the site so you can reserve your place. What colors does everyone want the most for the powdercoating?

It will go from the filter to the factory turbo boot or Garrett either way.

Pitcrw6 06-02-2011 10:54 PM

2 Black ones here.

I'm not familiar with powdercoating, so im not sure of the benifits, but I was thinking a nice stainless steel or aluminum tube would be good looking.

Yes please. Ford blue!

VegasFordSD 06-02-2011 11:25 PM

would this eliminate the ccv return? I have my ccv mod plumbed back into the intake like factory, would I need to change that?

I would say black would fit most color schemes people have... maybe offer custom colors for added charge?

hosoria 06-02-2011 11:38 PM

I'm in also Clay.

If your ccv is back to the orginial way then no you shouldnt have to change it. You will keep your stock turbo boot.

I just went with A aluminum pipe from here Aluminum Intake Tubing 4" OD X 4" Long: Intake Hoses, IntakeTubing, and Intake Clamps

Clay I'm in for a red one.

Josh88Ford 06-03-2011 06:53 AM

This is on my "to do" list.

Because this would be mostly for looks, I planned on making the pipe from the filter to the turbo, with a reducer boot directly off the turbo;
Intake Pipe Reducer

This would work for both stock 3.5" inlets and aftermarket 4" inlets Length of pipe for both options would be the same. I would also think the boot will have enough flex so no additional bracing required.

Clay, I am assuming you will be making these out of aluminum, not steel?

Perhaps make a "poll" thread and let it cook for a while. With the amount of guys running 6637's, 20 might not be enough!

Definately interested in 2-3 if aluminum and full from turbo to filter

Pitcrw6 06-03-2011 07:21 AM

Josh, im with u about making it fit from the turbo to the filter and eliminate the turbo boot all together and put a rubber grommet on the side for the green tube and a reducer boot for the turbo side and make it out of aluminum.

Hey Clay,
These guys just don't give up do they?
Hey Guys I'm working on getting things together to make some of these up, just need some more time to get things together, have other responsibilities ya know, just don't have the funds to just throw at it.
So please be patient with me

I would make these out of aluminum and leave them bare.

kccatpower 06-03-2011 08:37 AM

please add me to the list also for one. i prefer bare aluminum but would settle for black.
