Guess I'm one of the few who think the long beds look better...

Not that few... I'd trade my shortbed for a longbed in a quick second!

I have both. I like the longbed now that I have it, and it will be another daily driver soon.

Yep 53-72 box will work. I believe the 58 will have a short step you will have to remove to fit your running boards. Which you'll also have to change when you shorten the box.

Oh yea, Welcome to the site!:D

It is my understanding that the 57-60 "short boards" are worth a pretty penny.... so if you do get a 57-60 box with the short steps, DON'T TRASH THE STEPS!!! I know a guy that turned down a decent offer for a set.... I think he is around here...

I for one love my longbed 54 F250. They are rarer and maybe in some people's eyes less desirable but I love it. I am not sure about the F100 8 ft. beds but the F250 is wider than than the stock 6.5 beds. Also, I know that long bed running boards are harder to find.

In regards to the the 57-60 short running boards. I have a set I would love to part with (more money into the build fund) but no one seems to be interested in them. I would love to find the person looking for a decent pair.

Good luck!

My grandfather has a 58 f100 body he would like to get rid of. Don't know how close you are to Louisiana. Send an email etaylor5722@comcast.net for pictures

He said he'd like about 1300 or best offer for it. It is strictly the body. It doesn't have a motor or anything Like that.

just asking how is the interior seats dash and such just wondering

teardropty 02-26-2011 09:09 PM

Sorry, no doors or anything else 57+ . I got the short boards with my 1954. The PO swore they worked with the 54. lol I have no need for the boards. Thanks for asking though.

The easiest way to explain it would be with a picture. He has sold the windshields and glass out over the years. The seat is in it I believe, but mainly it is the body on the chassi. I recieved an announcement that you arent supposed to sell things on the site unless its listed in the classifieds so I guess it would have to be listed there. I dont know how interested you are but he would prolly part it out as well. Im new to the site but if you can look my photo gallery it will be in there (its yellow).

The info here is pretty accurate, from what I've read elsewhere. They weren't all they were cracked up to be. But they sure are cool.
