Had a working double wide fire thursday morning at 3am. Got home at 6:30, feed horses, took a shower and worked 12 hours. In bed by 10.

I have also been there done that. The worst one that I had was worked all day. Went mutual aid into the next district for a working house fire about 11 p.m. Unfortunately a teenager became trapped in the house and lost his life in the fire. We got released around 7 a.m. from the scene, had to get the trucks back in service. Went home around 8:30, showered, ate breakfast took the day off becasue of being so beat. Around 10 a.m. we had a house fire in our district and was out for a couple of hours on that one.

Randy just read the article on Big Spring. All that I can say is I am glad that we do not have too many large fires in this part of the state. In the southern tier area down near PA, there are the beginning of some mountains and there are a few wildlife management areas that get wildfires on occassion. They also have them in the Adirondack Mountains in the eastern part of upstate.

G'night George and Randy. I am heading out also. Wifey wants to go strawberry picking first thing and then I have some bidness that I want to try and get done before the t-storms and hail hits the area in the afternoon.
