I would have loved to be a fly on the wall especially if you pulled out some credentials stating that you are an instructor at the State Fire Academy after she gave you the riot act.

Evening Sparky

Doug.. I ended up picking up yesterday a Garmin Nuvi 255W GPS. I just got it charged up and played around with it some will I was running errands earlier.

I figured that it will make it easier for me to find my way to calls that are in neighboring districts on mutual aid calls.

You will like it. You can mark your favorite locations and go back at just a tap or two of the screen.
I use mine just running around town. It sometimes sends me away from routes I would usually travel.

This unit has just enough bells and whistles that make it a very useful unit. I am suprised at how quick it locks onto the satellites as I have heard some people complain about their units taking some time before linking up.

The department bought some Tom Tom units for the trucks that the past chief did not get installed yet, so that is one small project that will need to be completed shortly.

Just get the maps updated often. With my Tom Tom it will down load user made changes to the maps and it will lock onto the satelite locations. I just plug into my computer and everything update automatically.
