Installed my Prodigy P3 and my telescoping trailer mirrors yesterday.
I removed eight screws from the lower dash panel, and still couldn't get the panel to come off the dash! (It was too difficult to try and plug in the P3, I tried for 10 min, so I decided to remove the lower panel.). Nearly broke it, but ended up prying it back enough to give me enough room to get my mits in there to plug in the harness. Then i installed the mirrors, and in spite of my careful and slow workings, i managed to drop one of the mounting nuts inside the door where it hyperspaced into another dimension. The mirror is plenty tight with 3 nuts, but i'm planning on going to theFord dealer to get a replacement nut. (How much do uwanna bet they can't find it in their computer? Are all Ford dealers so incompetent, or just selfish -- because they dn't want to help a little guy?). At least i saved $50 for a converter harness... I chopped off the plug from my stock paddle mirrors and grafted them onto my new ones. Ran out to pick up my 30' TT and brought her home. Was re-united with lane wander and droopy but. Can't wait to get those new F-250 leaf springs on the rear (anybody recommend a good shop near suburban Chicago?). Then the Hellwig SB goes on. I do love that truck. I dare say, I wouldn't sell it for a dime less than $30k! |

I thought it was a wiring issue on #1?
If you do the one you should at least do all 4 on that side. dont you need a special tool to pull them? |

No, either a good tug on it will pull it out or a slight pry from a screw driver or small pry bar under the lip will pop them out. |

Well...
-I went to O'reilly and replaced all my lead battery terminals with Zinc terminals. Man does it make a difference! My truck turns over faster and is really getting some serious juice now! They say these things conduct 3 times better than lead, they weren't lying either! If you haven't made the switch yet, DO IT! -I Yanked my Turbo out chasing what I thought to be a pedestal oil leak; come to find out that it was the EBPV actuator rod leaking....so I did all that for nothing, had to put the truck back together, got to bed around 5:30am and was up again for work at 8:00am...yay -I re-installed my HPX since it doesn't do any harm when installed with my Adrenaline HPOP. It seems to have made all the difference too! The truck starts and run WAY better now that I re-installed the HPX, tightened down the boots on the turbo y-pipe, AND added some Zinc terminals. |
Putting on some Weld Racing Mountain Crusher 16.5x12 wheels tomorrow and going to see if some 39.5x15.16.5 Super Swamper TSL's will fit....

Took apart the rear cargo area to get at the speaker for the park assist system. Ford doesn't have one, they have to order it. Will be $33.00, hope this fixes the system!

thinking about hardwiring my GPS
wiring up my new strobe lights. also picking up a light bar for the front later... hope to get that all done today lol |
I ordered this. (I didn't DO anything to my X, but I did something X related!)

Edit: Do you mean the lead terminal on the actual battery or what is connected to the battery cables? My cables all have something other than lead on the end, not lead. |
Picked up rear Hellwig sway bar. Gonna install it this weekend.

Do you have a thread with pics for the console build? I'm wanting to upgrade, but I think I'll have to build something myself if I do.
