Our chief is designated as 48-15. Deputy and assistants 16-19. Captains or LT 20&21.
Engineers 23. Fire Police 40-46.

The county next to me (about a mile away) runs the following for their designation... Chief is -0, 1st Asst -1 and so on.... engines are -11 on up, pumper tankers are -31 on up, tankers are -41 on up and ambulances are -91 on up. Each number if prefixed with their county dept. number. It can get confusing at times and one of the depts. there is our automatic mutual aid for confirmed structure fires.

My dept. is the third in the county and when I was chief I was car 3-1. The assistants are 3-2 and 3-3. All members in my department are assigned their own number that they use as their radio designation. Currently I am the SO so my designation is 3-0.

Our three counties station #'s are broken down by #'s. New Castle is 1-39. Kent County is 40-58 and Sussex is 70-9?.

I just realized.... there are so many numbers involved here that we really need an accountant. Do you know of any ??????

My dad just found out that he has an irregular heartbeat and the doc is just starting treatment to see what will help before they need to do surgery.
