Roy, everyone must've listened to what you said, because the phone lines are now busy. Dammit!
|
It's no problem at all Roy. It just appears that I've found the one campground in the universe that is as hard to get a hold of as Sherwood Forest. That's what I'm irritated about. Not you...
|
By the way, the other rally going on during our week is a "Fantasy RV" rally. I have no idea what that means but I'm hoping it's not what Doug will think it means....

I just spoke with Pam and made our reservations for check-in July 15 and check-out July 20 in cabin C-5. She handled the discount (off-season rate). The cabins have no A/C, no indoor plumbing, and you bring your own sheets and blankets. This could be an issue for us since we would be flying. She said it's only about a 2 minute walk to the bathroom facilities. I didn't tell her that it is just off the porch. No A/C could be a deal breaker, but we'll see!

I sleep a little in bed. 60° is perfect!
I doubt Mamma is thrilled about the lack of facilities and the "Bring your own bedding" thing again, but we will see. She's mulling it over now. |

Rustic Maine at it's best... I suppose you could do a hotel instead but it wouldn't have the same feel as being in the campground. Sorry, it isn't a better fit for you guys... Anything we can do to help, we will... |

Doug, "Open Hearth Inn" is directly across the street from the CG entrance. "Island View Motel and Cottages" is next door to that...

I bet if you canceled the cabin on the same day they wouldn't wack you with a fee either... Well, hopefully... I updated one of the links so please see my post again for the motels.

How about this. Maryann just had an idea. Why doesn't everyone in a cabin pick someone with an RV to bring them some pillows, blankets, sheets, and towels. We would volunteer to do it for you Doug and I'm sure Roy, Monty, and whoever else could do the same from someone else in a cabin. Let me know the bed size if you want to keep your cabin...
PS: No returning stained sheets... ;) |
I've been trying to call....have been leaving messages:-arrgh
