I haven't come to a conclusion yet on what to get for mmy truck for x mas leaning towards more led lighting.

Jigger2020 12-11-2012 09:12 AM

Im leaning towards the recon big rig ice. They are cool. I got the plasma bar in back. Its awsome

Jigger2020 12-11-2012 09:41 AM

I have the original ''big rig'' Recons on mine, great stuff

Hdslider 12-11-2012 09:56 AM

The big rig ice the turn signals get 7 times brighter. Plus whole bar turns white light when getting. Out. Reslly dont know if the whites would really be much help.

Jigger2020 12-11-2012 10:08 AM

Why do you think they wont help, yer post is cofusing

Hdslider 12-11-2012 10:34 AM

The white lights when I watch recon video just dont seem very bright. The ambers for running and turn look great

Jigger2020 12-11-2012 10:37 AM

OK ya thats why I like the amber-red ones too, they are really bright, the white lights might get lost in the crowd.........

Those look really cool. I put some bling on my truck. I decided against tuning after talking it over with my service tech and I just couldn't see tabling 55k miles of warranty. So to make my self feel better I bought a new MBRP 5" stainless steel DPF back exhaust system:

Attachment 236577
Attachment 236578
I went with 5" because it was virtually the same price as the 4". No other reason. There is no affect on sound that I could tell installing the exhaust. I installed it yesterday and didn't do the CAI intake until today. No comments from the peanut gallery on the dirty truck...it's winter and the roads are gross.
Also added a CAI from aFe:
Attachment 236579
It makes the intake sound slightly deeper and robust, but nothing major at all. I bought it because I thought it looked good and because of all the dusty driving in and out of four wheeler sites last year cost me two air filters. I wanted some thing washable. I also wanted an "enclosed" filter housing. I just think they look nicer under the hood. This one fits the bill and the fitment was perfect.

I suspect the performance gains from these mods to be NOTHING. I HATED the way the stock dual pipes looked on the stock exhaust. I just never liked it. I think it looks like a diesel should now.

Some new WeatherTech floor mats:

Attachment 236581
Attachment 236582
I've had the WeatherTechs before and I really like the product. I think the Husky liners are more durable and hold more water, but I think the WeatherTech's are hands down better looking.

I also

Glad I could help Paul, I'm happy with the amber 62'' Recon ones........

Jigger2020 12-11-2012 11:10 AM

Great mods Savage, well done there, looks great too

Tomahawk 12-11-2012 12:01 PM

Savage - WeatherTechs look good, how much was the CAI?
