I thought about getting those and I still might... Just waiting to see if my next mod will be anytime soon first. I may not have a place to put them. :D

I believe there is an opening behind the license plate, couldn't you run the wire through there and maybe drill a hole at the top of the licens plate for the wire to go through? So you wouldn't see the wire. Just a thought, cool set up though.

That's exactly what I did with my setup.

My wireless works great.

would look good above the plate in that gap under the doors and above the bumper. wouldnt even notice it there i bet, use a couple self taping screws and put it up there.

I saw a couple of wireless ones on Amazon, but most of them were more expensive and had worse reviews. I think I saw someone on the site who had installed a wireless one though........

I mounted a wireless one. Used the constant +12V and ground from the 7 pin connector for the camera. Used the cigarette lighter power for the monitor. Had to get a 90 degree 1/8" adapter from Radio Shack to mount it by the steering wheel column. It's always on. You do get interference from time to time. I do prefer hard wired, but had this from my mini van. This is great for hitching up the trailer.

Installed 4 BF Goodrich All Terrain 285/75/16 E rated.
Lubricated the body mount under the driver side that was making some pretty strange noise.

Best tire for the Excursion EVER!!

Yeah. I love them. What pressure is best though. Not towing. Primarily drives on pavement and some dirt roads at times.

Mine are sitting at 65 right now and seem to be good for me. Just finished a 750 mile trip with them there.

Ghadaz 10-20-2011 08:15 PM

OK. They had at at about 80 but the ride was rough... Took them down to 56, It feels better but I still feel every bump on the road.

Hard wired my radar detector in, not hard but worth it. I never realized how ugly that cord was until it wasn't there.
