Removed the k&n intake and some hoses and wires from the motor to get it ready to take out

akdanstar 04-13-2014 12:09 PM

pulled the running boards off and the front clip to get ready for the Windsor replacement

Fastback460 04-13-2014 03:44 PM

Installed a Sunpro Tach in the 93 F-350 today.

joegeds 04-13-2014 03:46 PM

Changed transmission oil, changed transfer case oil, installed PCV valve, took a grease gun to all the fittings on the suspension, and lubed up the 4X4 shift mechanism. I'm all lubed and ready to go!!

Changed a slide pin in the D/S Brake Caliper. The old one had shifted outwards and had made a nice skinned area on the inside of the rim...:(

Grems4ever 04-13-2014 06:35 PM

Haven't done much to it other than run the wheels off of it. I've been driving it back and forth to work for the last week and a half, hauled furniture for the wife, and picked up the replacement rear end for my daily driver.

Evan_P 04-13-2014 06:37 PM

Gave it a full cleaning inside and out.

Hopefully within the next week or so I will have the cab lights and the sun visor installed on the truck. I picked up all of the hardware to install them today so all I need now are the lights, the paint for the visor and a sunny day to install them.

man iv got the same issue with chip truck.i replaced the pins and did it again.i can hear it squeaking.

tinkered with log truck this weekend.i took it for a short drive and the front drivers caliper (well the pads of course) was smoking.she was seized up from sitting when i bought the truck.they tried to free it up but she just didn't want to cooperate so i just replaced it.
installed a 10" culvert across the front of the dump bed for a tool holder like i did to chips dump.peavey/pole saw/pruner tube/box and got my trans cooler remounted and plumbed up down below, due to recent intercooler setup.

that trucks' going to look sharp with the cab lights & visor Evan.:-X22

putting more miles on is what its all about grem wish i could drive mine more than i get to.

been driving it lately, man the 4.9 really lugs, stays in overdrive for a long time, and gets decent gas mileage, but the 20 plus mph winds lately have realllllyyyyy been brutal on the fuel mileage, guess a giant brick and wind dont mix well lol

Especially when my commute for work is 100 miles a day. I have to admit that driving it to work brought back fond memories of trucks gone by. :D

Back and forth to work with my 4.9L/4 speed/4.10 gears was consistently getting 15 mpg on hilly terrain. I didn't top more than 55 mph, but I could do it even on the steepest hills. }>

Maybe I should go to 4.10s or taller. I was afraid more gear would kill my mileage.

Grems4ever 04-14-2014 04:27 AM

I'm planning on swapping out the rear end for some more conservative when the budget recovers from replacing the one in my daily driver. The 4.10s are great for working, but they wind the poor thing tight at highway speeds.

Inline6xl 04-14-2014 08:33 AM

Pulled a few stumps with the 4.9. Fairly impressed. Can't wait to get something other then 3.08s in her.
