Wow. Didn't realize your clearance was that close before. Just space the bumper until you do all the axle, 4x4, & lift stuff.

Now I have no CEL's again, and nothing to do.

Ha! That won't last long! :D

It really wasn't all that close before. The of brand tires just came in closer to 32s than 33s. So now I get a very slight rub on the bumper at certain spots. Everyone I know is telling me to just run a body lift until I do my 4x4 stuff. That would give me tons of clearance but I'm not sure I want to go that route. If I wasn't trying to buy a house I'd just buy the solid axle stuff now. I hate having money I can't spend.

your sure its bumper, my tires come within a 1/2 inch of my bumper, and i thought my tires were rubbing on the bumper turns out they were rubbing on the radius arm:'( oh well only does it some time when the wheel is turned full lock

Wish I had that issue, haha

Jarryd 12-16-2013 10:55 AM

I'm rubbing those too. This isn't at full lock and it's only in certain corners when there's body roll. I'm not concerned with the radius arms, that's only at super slow speeds and doesn't hurt anything.

What happened to your truck to end up doing this to it?

Bought my project truck with a dent that wouldn't buff out. So finally after catching up mostly on my other must-do tasks I'm finally able to get back to my 4x4. That pic is of the piece I cut out of the parts truck to repair my project.

Then instead of the pickup bed I'm putting a steel/wood floor flatbed on it.

Kapusta 12-16-2013 02:25 PM

That's amazing!

I've done one F250 before but usually I have the pieces put in professionally. I cannot justify the cost of pro's on a truck like this so I'm in DIY mode here. Besides, practice makes perfect. If it was a $30K vehicle I wouldn't have the cojones to cut into it!

Like this one.

My grandfather blew a power steering fitting early this morning in his oldest business truck on the way to pick up a load. He dealt with no PS on the way back, and I got a new pressure line to put on it and it's good to go. Easy 15 minute fix.

It's a '96 F-250 7.3 Powerstroke. Guess it was time for that fitting to go after 18 years and 317k miles.

I'd just space the bumper out. If you get he body lift you need to cut a piece out of either the bumper or the frame end to raise the bumper to match the lift. And then you need to deal with the rear.

When I put 33's on my 95 I spaced it out with 4washers on each bolt. Gave me about 1/2" and that's all I needed.
