    Got my tbird IRS installed and thought this a good time to install Bilstein shocks I bought from you. My gosh, now I am not the most skilled wrench, but I have not encountered the problems I am having just removing the KYB shocks I originally installed while building the truck, much less installing the larger tube Bilsteins. Are you guys dropping the control arm to accomplish this? I realize that with non gas filled shocks it was easy, but not ow. Any hints? Thanks, Joe.

    The Shockwaves that I used were some of the very early models, I believe that RideTech has some better ones out there now. I modified the FlatOut Engineering kit to accomodate the shockwaves...I think that you may be able to get some now that are small enough in diameter to work right out of the box.
    As for the R&P...the biggest problem is the hydraulic lines for the power steering. Take a look at Paul Newman Creations website, he is located in Paso Robles and has a really sweet rear tie rod setup (you need this if you intend to drop the rearend past stock height) and he has done some work on the R&P to rotate the body around which gets the fittings out of the way.     Hi Charlie, I had question a few about a C4 IFS/IRS. I read you installed one before with shockwaves. Which shockwaves did you use and recommend?
    I also read something about oil pan clearance due to the R&P. How did you solved this issue? I'm very new to this and I'm going to buy my first 56. Already bought the suspension

    Charlie, you has expressed interest in some parts before just thought I would ask since I decided to pull the 223 and 3 speed from my 56. Carb, intake,exhaust manifold, oil bath air cleaner, generator,all from complete and running motor. just thought I'd ask .. Thanks

    Charlie, I was going through the boxes of parts I got with my truck, and I got an original 56 f100 radio complete with chrome bezel and chrome knob. Both in good shape. Give me a call if you know anyone who might be interested in this.

    Sorry, didn't have time to hook up Charlie . Kind of a quick turnaround . I did find out a couple of interesting facts though. Got it over to my uncles house and 1, it's all original, 6 cyl. 3 speed with overdrive and a 4:08 rear end according to the plate .and 2, after sitting in the barn or the last 14 years that we know of, it fired right up!got a bunch of xtra parts to boot.! The old Holley 1904 seems to be leaking fuel around the accelerator pump somewhere but overall pretty great deal!

    Charlie, I think there might be a market for your idea but probably a small one, if you were to offer replacements for stock doors you might do better, if you are really ambitious you could offer original and one piece. If this had been offered 4-5 years ago I may have taken your offer.

    Charlie i wish I had seen your post about the FF1s, b4 i bought the others but I think they will suite me, if not ill contact you. The reason for the note is mostly to compliment you on tour truck, its super clean and looks great. Thanks again, and Ill catch you later

    I think you nailed it, I couldnt get into the site to pick up your answer( I guess it was down for awhile) but I scuffed out the panel and re shot it . It looks nice, Im sure the paint coverage was inadequit just like you said,I did one tack coat and two follow up coats,(8/1/10%) like you taught Me, no runs or sags, thank you very much. Next time Ill try the flo coat.
