    Put a 428 crank in it and make it a 410. I may be going that way now. Found auto zone sells crank kits ( crank plus main/rod bearings ) for 240$ part #19420 check that out!!

    yep and the over heating at a long traffic light.. i think ill just up grade to the 390 and max it out

    my 428 block is just a standard one nothing special. boring a 390 to 428 spec would mean that block is done and can no onger be rebuilt again and supposively you cant bore most 390 block without crack issues to do the job unless you use the industrial 391..

    what block did you find for your 428 build? i heard you can pretty much take any ol fe block and turn the sob into a cj...the only difference from the original crank saddle webbing may be of either the standard or the reinforced type....its just the cylinder heads but couldn't you take some aluminum CH and open her and i mean open everything up::shrugz:: its been on my mind..
