    Confirmation, excellent. While I have mine apart I was thinking about this too. When this motor went in my differential was 6 degrees higher then my old motor, and I thought that maybe some gold was in the new motor as they are supposed to dyno them after reman, and I figured it gelled getting mixed with my Rotella. Based on what the TDS member discovered, and now your confirmation, there’s a chance it always was the spring, from whatever donor assembly they used.

    Now finding the correct dimensions the spring is supposed to be is another story.

    I just posted over at TDS, but you should mention what you found there Mark. I really think that’s a good find, and good work by that member.

    That is interesting. I think CopperFarm talked about the valve being worn, but I don’t remember anyone before bringing up the spring tension. I guess we’ll be seeing a blue oil cooler bypass spring soon.
