HI truckdog62563, is this what you meant about the message. I'm really new to this forum. And I wasn't sure. Also on the f3s you are working on do you end up selling them when your finished. I really am just looking to see what and if I can find what I want. Always planned to get a 51-52 at least. I really like the F8. But also the smaller trucks as well. I don't have a place to fix one up yet. But I think it should work out in a year when my mom gets done moving. Also if your from Illinois and don't mind I would really like to see your f3s. I have actually never seen anything bigger than a f1. Let me know thanks a bunch.

Hi Stu - my name is Scott and I noticed you are into M-H trucks. I'm in charge of disposing my neighbor's trucks and he was a big collector of M-H - even has a 42 special deluxe sedan delivery (no motor). Is there anything special you have a need for? I can look around to see what he has. Thanks

Thank you, truckdog62563, for your enligthing post. It solved many open questions to me. At least we know now for sure what type of wheels we got on the truck.

Unfortunatly it seems to be a really tricky task to equip the truck with duallys. After reading your post, I was also thinking of a custom 2 piece adapter. One piece with the original 5 lug x 6 7/8" bolt pattern, the other piece with (for exasmple) a 8 lug, 19.5 x 6.00" (Duallys Ford F450/F550 by bolt pattern. I think those wheels could fit the enormous drums.

What do you think of this thougth? And, in case, would you know a good manufacturer for those custom adapters? I did not find one yet. And please, excuse my poor english! Thanks gb

Stu - We communicated earlier about running 9X20 Bias tires on my 6" wide 5 lug Budd rims. You said the tires should fit but that I might require a spacer to separate the duals so the tires don't rub. Do you have a source for such a spacer?

Hi Stu. I've purchased some F2 wheels for my F3 pickup truck. I also have the rear axle assembly. Question: The wheels say 16x6 on them but actually measure 17.5"x7". What modern day tire size should I install on these to achieve stock look? Thx!

Hey Stu, While never having talked with you I have read MANY posts of yours and learned a bunch. I recently bought a '49 F6 with WM wheels. I've been eyeing solutions to replace them while still trying to stay economical. I looked at buying new 19.5 x 6 wheels from Wheels Now Inc (WN89340J). They quoted me about $200 each. I'd most likely drive up to Milwaukee and pick them up. I'm just looking at having piece of mind while driving around. My plan is to keep it mostly original, so putting new wheels on does not appeal to me as much as finding suitable replacements. Can you offer any insight or possibly help out with a contact that may have a set (6) available?

By the way, I live in Yorkville, IL which is north of you. How have you registered your trucks with the SOS? Do you get antique plates of get the correct truck plates?

Thanks for all the knowledge!!!! -Tom
