Just wanted to say thanks for all the help, insight, and info you have given us over the years. Without your posts, a hell of a lot of us here would still be poking around in the dark with a bent stick trying to figure things out. It is always wonderful to hear a 'voice of knowledge' to provide the correct information.

Hey Mark, You seem to be the goto guy on here for transmission help. If you dont mind i have a couple questions. I have a 2000 Ex 2wd with a 7.3 and a 4r100 with a blown first gear. Have a lead on a used 4r100 out of a 2001 F250 7.3 2wd. about 20k miles on it. Pretty sure it will bolt up, but top casing numbers are different. One from my EX is "55" and one from F250 is "35". Is that ok and is there anything else I should look for to see if its compatible? TIA.

If the only code said output speed sensor, then there is a mechanical problem inside the trans.

I have a 04 Sport Trac and the transmission will only work in 1 and 2 . no reverse engine light came on and the OD light started blinking.Scan said it needed output speed sensor but that did not help the problem.
any help you can give will be very appreciated.

Hello sir you seem very educated on transmissions and the electrical part of them , my 1992 4x4 f-150 with the 351w and E4od , I have the symptoms of only p r and n all other gears appear to be one high gear that needs a high throttle to make the truck start rolling . The transmission has been rebuilt with all electrical components inside as well . New pcm, vss, mlps, eec relay . I took off the harness on the transmission that has three male plug in connections that go into the trans and the other end of the harness plugs into two female connections at the driver side fender well . the wires in the harness all check good for continuity . That's all that I have checked I am lost on where to go could you please help

    Hello Mark, I have a stock 2001 F-250 PSD wt 7.3 and 130K miles.
I understand you have a trans shop somewhere in Port St. Lucie and I live in Palm Beach County.
I would like to have you install the row 6.0 tranny cooler in my truck as I have retired and will be towing a 10K fifth wheel out West this summer and would like a little extra insurance. I've maintained the truck impeccably since she was new. The trans is running great and has been flushed 2 or 3 times and as I am a very conservative driver, shift points have never altered. Smooth as glass.
My phone number is 561-733-2614 and my name is Michael Galada.
I hope you can/will assist me as I've followed your posts forever.

Hey there Mark, I have a 2000 Ford Excursion with a 7.3 engine, around 15,000 miles ago I had my transmission replaced with a 4r100 transmission, recently it has been acting up and I have noticed a loss in power/response, the other day I was backing out to exit a parking lot and once I changed into drive I had to rev it up in order for it to engage, after putting 1 qt of ATF into it, it drove like it was brand new, i've noticed that the rear part that connects to the transfer case is pretty wet but it is still difficult to pinpoint the exact spot where the leak is coming from, if you could help me i'd very much appreciate it, you can reach me at my email [email protected], thank you!
