    It was simpler than I hoped. You take 8 inches out of the middle and 12 inches off the end. Then F-1 running boards and bed will bolt on. You may have to re-drill a few holes for the bed to get it mounted exactly where you want it. When you cut the frame use a 'Z' cut to maximize the welding area and box the inner frame where the cut is made.

    Hey, i seen that you were converting an f-3 to an f-1 in a post a few years back. Is it as simple as cutting out the 8 inches of difference ahead of the rear axle? Obviously brake lines and drive shaft will have to be shorted to accommodate. Im just about ready to take the plunge with my Canadian version-ed mercury m-3 . Just looking for any pointers or re-assurance before making the cut. Any info greatly appreciated! Thanks!
