    Sorry for the extremely late response. (Just noticed your message). It's possible your truck is an F100. The long bed was an option. Look at the the VIN number on the door id tag, listed as the "serial number". If it starts with F25XXXX, you have an F-250. If it's F10XXXX, then its an F-100. Hope that helps! Rob

    Hello. My grandfather just gave me a 1956 ford truck. It also has a 223 inline 6 motor in it and is completely stock with the long bed and everything. He said it was a f100 but the way you describe your truck it is a f-250. Was there a f-100 bed made with a long bed on it as well as the 250's? I am new to this whole restoration thing and have a lot of beginner questions, so thanks for bearing with me.
