Jonesy, I have a floor shift set up, aftermarket stuff. Looking at it, it would be easy to duplicate the brackets, its really simple in design, I might do that just as a fun project, and to have a few to sell or use in the future. But maybe you can ask your neighbor if he might have the heavy duty transmission that goes behind the 223. I'd be in the market to buy one, im hunting around and coming up empty handed. Thanks -Rusty

Also, as far as a heavy duty transmission, this truck is set up with a 3-on the tree as opposed to a floor shift. It all looks like it came that way out of the factory. I wonder if the trans Im looking for accomidates for the column shift linkage. Im also gonna look around and see if their is a "modern" trans that will fit behind a 223 with an adaptor, just in case it becomes a huge task finding the specified heavy duty transmission. What yuh think Jonesy?

Jonesy - Its coming along. This past weekend I ordered gaskets and seals, gonna get a 223 ready to go in the P400. I did some looking around, and Iam gonna need to find a heavy duty transmission. I have the bell housing, but now gotta hunt down the trans. I have a a few light duty transmissions out of my 57-58 F100s, but I guess that wouldnt work. You have any ideas?

Hey Rusty Chrome. The trans mount should be a bell housing mount. Yes the aluminum body was mostly a Gruman Olson body. Look for a badge as you are entering the siding door, on the right.
