Speakerfritz, firefighter1406 recommended I touch base with you about my 08 Super Duty 6.4 with a surging problem. Nobody has been able to find the cause and after almost $27,000 and a year of an absolute nightmare I need any help I can get. I am now trying to find the cause myself and as a hobbyist I am probably way over my head. I had a problem of surging under load and then the inter-cooler inlet rubber connectors would tear or blow off. Now I still have a surging and a "bucking" (partial throttle) going downhill. DTCs of P2289 and P0006. Please read my other post on the 1999-2016 Super Duty/Heavy Duty. Anything you can suggest or help with would be a Godsend. Sheriffdude

Thanks for the input on my 2010 6.4 with no start problem. I had already removed all air from the fuel lines, and before I removed the air I did remove the fuel cap and keyed on the ignition while the fuel pump filled the filter housing. Can you tell me where the #3 EGT sensor is located? I remember putting sensors on both the drivers and passenger side pipes on the rear of the motor.

Hi Speakerfritz, hope you're doing well!

Few weeks ago you posted few lines about a truck I was evaluating to do my central and south american trip. Thanks again for this.
I chose not to carry on this this truck.
I've found another one that may fit my needs.
Would you share your thoughts about this one?

    PM's full so
[=speakerfritz]I googled "chrome wind hood f-250" and about 10 came up. maybe they are not called bug deflectors.[/]

Thanks, searched "chrome hood deflector" and came up with a nice EGR brand unit that allows the "super duty" on the grill to be visible still and covers the body over the headlights as well. Thanks for the idea!

Thank you, I do live in Florida but this was fresh water. Water did not hit the dash, and the water stayed just below the air intake. Thank you again.

I saw your post about flooded trucks. Well I just(08-28-2014 @ about 6:40pm) got my 2006 F-250 5.4 3v 4X4 stuck in the mud hole. With in a few hrs it became the water hole. You alluded to some quick fixes to prevent major problems. What should I do?
    So far I have:
Changed the oil and filter with in the first hour
    Cleaned the K&N air filter
Changed the front and rear diff fluids
    Trany flush and filter
    Changed fuel Filter
And gave the undercarriage a good bath
