I spent some time on the horn with Chuck Mantaglia when I first purchased the truck. (it was actually closer to you) it was on EBAY from Scramento area back in November. Chuck was hard pushing the re-centered 22.5. and using radials. I played with a mock up adapter on some standard 10-bolt budds and it looked pretty good. But after crunching the numbers I would be into roundy-rounds for better than 3K and not original.

Advice is always welcome. sorry to burden you with my concerns.

In summary I am still interested. still weighing my options and letting things "bake" as that usually floats the best option to the surface.

I am sorry for the delay. [email protected] is my address. I found a gentleman in Kentucky that has a set with good rubber on them while I was awaiting a response from you. Then life happens. Found him on a craigslist add another member posted for an F600 COE chassis.

Here is what I am weighing...
He will sell me 6 with good tires for $400. but he has no way of packaging them. Shipping them will cost north of $400.

you are at $300 for three and $150-ish to get them here.

And now I have another bomb dropped. A close friend insisted INSISTED that I stay away from all split rim wheels. including these outer ring style. Just about the time I have a handle on things. UGH!!!

I know that UPS allows open tires to be shipped individually. But we are talking rims and those may exceed handling weight. I have used ratchet straps on pallets to ship before just zip tie the strap handles closed so they can't be opened.. There is an app called Uship that is like an Ebay or Uber for Hot shots and LTL. So we have some ways and I have the will. I am willing to make sure you are compensated for your time/value in the wheels.

Can you send images of the wheels? That is the only free thing I am asking for

If you are game, mull over the above, tune the numbers to your liking and lets see what turd floats to the surface.

I figured there is rubber on them. That seems to slow a lot of people down. Seems silly to transport trash. you found a shop that services those right? I speculate dismounting should run $30-ish each? Your time and energy doing it. Plus there seems to be about a $50 value on the rim (totally may be off correct me please) So I roughly I am looking at $100-ish if I were to con you into stripping them and me visiting you to pick them up. Could we come up with a solution to ship those for $50 each? Your handling included of course, unfair to ask for a favor this new in a meeting. I am negotiable and would like to make sure you and I would walk away new friends. Not angry Craigslisters. LOL

    Thanks for engaging me,

    Nathan

Hi Mixer Man, I have been lurking on this forum for years as I really don't have much to say but much to absorb. I finally became a member as I recently picked up a 51 f5 M&H COE. It has four good split rims and two of the widow makers. As we all know the good splits are hard to find. You recently mentioned in a thread that you had three of the good splits free to good home if local pick up. Since I am in Dallas that would not be possible. but I am willing to pay shipping. Would you be willing to ship? Or have possible contacts that could connect me with three.

    Regards,
    Nathan
