Good morning Stu. You gave me some input on my 66 F-350 rear diff options. A few weeks agonizing some medical on my end at bay for now. I checked with two salvage yards on a diff switch out and both had complete units but the backing plate to plate widths both wider with their s on laye 80’s wrecked motorhomes. Prices more reasonable than I thought. But i do think that’s the direction I want to go. I can do the switch in my shop pushing out the Alfa’s. ) but wanted to thank on your input. I live in NM. Lots of salvage yards with older/ trucks and see what hopefully pops up. The key for me is the widths and finding any other years or brands...someone tried to convince me Isuzu cargo vans.... can work.

Here is my mailing address. Mark B 304 East Cannon Street, Lafayette, CO 80026.

I know where there are 2 40's with manual shifts in them, I need to go have a look to see what I can learn.

Sorry to bother you again. Do you think I am working a lost cause trying to find a 6v set up to go in place of a vacuum shift for the Eaton 2 speeds?

Some of the guys have suggested that I can "clock the shifter arm differently to accept either the cable operated set up or the electric. What do you think?

Maybe they had in the past, but aren't comfortable doing so on a large truck.

I probably wouldn't be comfortable having them welded and redrilled, being cast iron. But if the new pattern could be fit in between the original, that would be no problem. The only sleeving/relining outfit I've contacted is Don at jgrelining.com but he said they don't reline drums that large.

Stu, saw your input on this older thread about the hard-to-find C2TZ-1126-D drums https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ot-advise.html

I was wondering if your idea of possible cross-referenced drums matching the C2TZ-1126-D drums ever came to light? The idea of re-drilling the 6x7.25" pattern on a similar drum has also crossed my mind, but I'd have no idea where to start to find a matching drum profile. Any new thoughts on the subject?

Hi Stu, I was wondering if you have a list of interchangeable parts for the F3 MH. I have a good friend in Montana that is working on a 53 hotrod project and said he would keep an eye out for parts for my project but needed a list to carry with him. I thought I had one but can't find it. He says he runs across alot of trucks like mine but doesn't know what to look for. Thanks for any help, Dave
