Ok thanks. I don't know if I really want to spend the money on pistons. I havnt tore it apart yet. I will have to see what they look like. I'm thinking about going with comp cams xtreme energy 262/270 cam. I'm looking to have better throttle response and acceleration. It is going to be both an off road and on road vehicle. I'm not planning on racing it

After about 30 cutting discs, 3 snowfalls and a bunch of pita bs, I finally got the decks off the trucks and have them side x side. Now I can finally start swapping cabs. Got me a ton off project metal and a truck frame that I can turn into a trailor. Ran into an old working partner so now I can work and know I'm safe health wise. It's been a good week and now I can kick azz. I even got Obama helping me, see garage.

Hey I have read some of your posts and you seem to bed pretty good with Ford motors. I have a 78 bronco with a 400 in it and is a manual. I want to put an intake carb cam and probly headers. I was wondering if you had any recommendations on brands and models? I am taking the bronco body of the frame and putting a 77 f100 short box step side on it thanks in advance

Thanks for the message, read your trans to block matting. Wish I could go this way, just don't have the time, $$$, and can't risk a break down as this truck is going to be used to pull a 32' 5th wheel. Rule of the road #48, if your in the middle of nowhere, guess what part is going to break. Parkerm is going to have to learn about that epoxy, those ports look nice & high,... almost? look small.

it doesnt like dropping the clutch when your stuck in mud. Down shifting to second has to be done at low speeds unless u mash it in (all of my zfs are like that) and they are a very noisy transmission. After i dropped the clutch a bunch it now rattles and clanks and makes lots of racket. However it wasnt quiet in the first place.

No problems with the zf conversion other then my driving style doesn't agree with them. They aren't super strong
