Really enjoying the FTE forum, even if I dont have a old truck! Guess the 2015 F250 Super Crew, Power Stroke, will have to do for a while!

    Chris,
    More of the story.
Had a 55 Crown Vic for a long time, it went to pay kids college bills and the taxes, it needed restored again and was a good parts car for the new owner.
Retired 3 years, and just playing with stuff.
Friend has a 1956 ex- fire truck, a F800 Big Job. no bed, shortened frame, 20k miles. I have not seen it! He is asking $3K for it. Afraid to go look in fear I might make him a offer and own it.
I have been playing with farm tractors for the last couple years. Did two Allis WD's and just got a D17.
My email is [email protected] if you want to chat outside of the Ford forum. This forum is huge! slow to get around in it. I have been drooling over all the trucks!

    regards,
    Chris

    Chris,
Well, I guess we have a couple things in common, name and Fords!
If you get a chance to post the pictures of your flat bed I would love to see them, and I am sure others would too! You did a awesome job on your truck. I understand getting busy on other projects! I should be doing all kids of things besides playing with old iron!
I have driven Fords since I was a kid. Have had a few other makes AMC and Chrysler. But never a GM product. Been back to Fords for a long time.
    Currently drive a 2009 F250, have a 2005 500, and just bought the wife a 2016 Edge.
    more in next text.
    Regards,
    Chris

    Chris,
Thanks for the compliment. This spring I threw together a flatbed for it so I could dive it until I have a chance to hopefully build the wrecker bed. Taking a break for now do complete other things on my to do list. Ford Guy? Whatcha got in your stable?

    Thanks,
    Chris
